The ABWM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit foundation. It supports the work of the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) for the advancement of wound care, the promotion of certification for providers of chronic and acute wounds, and the benefit of the public by developing and providing quality education and conducting sound research to support and promote wound care.
Through research, education, and other initiatives, the ABWM Foundation will support the work of ABWM to promote wound certification by seeking to increase the pass rates of individuals taking the Certified Wound Care Associate (CWCA®), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS®), and the Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP®) exams and the total number of individuals certified in each category.
Funds raised through the Foundation will be used to sponsor non-biased, evidence-based educational programs, provide scholarship opportunities to qualified individuals for the CWCA®, CWS® and CWSP® examinations, and administer a wound care practice examination to assist potential associates and diplomates in preparing for the certification exam.
Your generous contributions are tax-deductible and help to support the goals and mission of the ABWM Foundation. Thank you for your support!
